Summers III, 43, of Bentonia, Mississippi, assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne), headquartered at Jackson, Mississippi, died August 2, 2009 in Qole Gerdsar, Afghanistan, after his vehicle was struck by a command wire improvised explosive device. After moving from Hawaii to Arizona in 2007, I found myself searching for an activity to replace my loss of the ocean and water sports. In the 2 1/2 years I have lived in Phoenix I have tried various organized activities such as indoor soccer, dodgeball, bikram yoga, tai chi and volleyball--nothing seemed to touch the fulfillment I had experienced in Hawaii. Then along came this CrossFit thing. I can honestly say that some days I have felt the soreness in my body equivalent to 25 miles of ocean paddling and I LOVE IT! I feel like I am being mentally and physically challenged in so many new ways. After only a few weeks of CrossFit I feel stronger. I notice my posture has improved, my back feels stronger and I don\'t struggle completing daily tasks like I used to (such as changing out those bulky water dispenser bottles). Yes, the workouts can be rough but the encouragement of the instructors and classmates creates an environment where it is impossible for anyone to fail.

50:51 But later I realized that 400 m = 1/4 mile. I did 1/2 mile runs. I guess I need to learn the metric system.
